What a rainy and cold day today turned out to be! I swear the moment I get used to this CA weather it switches up on me. It goes from sunny and 75 degrees back to cold and rainy. However, it doesn’t get in the way of my excitement for my Stitch Fix! Even though we were stuck inside we made the most of it!

For this fix I left a note to my stylist mentioning that I would love to receive more items that could go with my newly purchased ankle boots and lighter pieces that I could easily layer. Once I opened my box I was very happy with what I got! Let’s take a look at my January fix.
For this outfit I paired two of my fixes into one look; my Pixley chevron dress and the Kut From The Kloth denim jacket. I was so happy that my stylist was able to finally find me a great denim jacket that fit so nicely and had a little bit of stretch. I had been asking for a denim jacket since my first fix and nothing I had received fit well on me...until now :)
The chevron print is a bit different than what I would have chosen for myself, but I consider it very “Californian” if that’s even a word to describe something. The fit and flare style of the dress is very flattering and the material is really comfortable. I also love that the neckline is modest, especially with my larger bust, so I feel comfortable to wear it to work.
The accessories I chose to finish up my first look is with a simple long necklace from Banana Republic and skinny belt to help give shape to my curves. I also went with nude wedges from JCrew.
A denim jacket is a prime staple that everyone should have in their closets at their disposal. Darker denim can be paired with everything and I love how it looks with white. For my second look I paired my jacket with a white eyelet dress and for a splash of color I wore a red statement necklace from a little shop in Alexandria, VA called The Lucky Knot.

This next piece I was a little thrown off by as I wasn’t sure what my stylist was going for originally. I did mention in my note that I loved the casual cardigans from my previous boxes but perhaps ‘casual’ was taken a bit too literally. I found that this jacket would be a great activewear item, but unfortunately it wasn’t quite what I was looking for.
I styled the look according to the notecard that accompanied my fixes: light denim or boyfriend jeans with a basic white tee and paired with flats or sneakers. Overall it was a very comfortable look, perfect for around the house or weekends, but at the end I didn’t fall in love with this jacket.
Lastly, the final items in my fix this month was this beautiful blue color block lace trim blouse and a pair of Level 99 skinny jeans. The blue paired with the black lace really makes this top versatile for both work and a night out. The cut of the blouse was cute but the size was a little snug for me. Also, the skinny jeans weren’t too flattering either (so, sorry for no pictures)!
It was fun having my husband take a shot (no pun intended) at being my photographer for the day and being confined to the house due to the rain wasn’t so bad either. I was really looking forward to getting outside with the sunshine but alas it didn’t work out that way. This month I was able to find a couple pieces I really loved and found others to try something new with. And that’s the fun of Stitch Fix!
